When someone asks me about my post-graduation plans even though I don’t have any yet
Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort. The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs. Wit is important. Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them. Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry, too. Despair will come. Find someone that you want to be there with you through those times. Most importantly, marry the one that makes passion, love, and madness combine and course through you. A love that will never dilute - even when the waters get deep, and dark.
girls--collection asked: Hi Catherine, how is life in Salt Lake City? I think that's one of the greatest names for a city ever came up with :D Anyway, I like your blog!
life in salt lake isn’t too shabby! it’s funny that you can’t even go into the salt lake, but yeah i guess my mormon pioneer ancestors weren’t too creative with naming cities! thanks for the blog love.
Anonymous asked: Hi Cat, sorry to be anon - I don't have a tumblr but have followed yours for quite a while now and absolutely love it. I'm so sorry to see that you and Alex have split up. I thought you were blissfully happy and getting married? Hope you are okay and getting loads of cuddles from Ozzy xo
oh wow, you’re just a sweet thing. yes, unfortunately alex and I did not work out. it’s a disappointing situation, but it’s another opportunity for me to learn and grow from it. I’m in a really good place however, and i feel confident things will work out for me, even if they are just different than i had anticipated. i love my best friend ozzy, and we cuddle and take long walks daily. i think everyone needs a fluffy, sassy dog. anyway. thanks for your message! xoxo
